UI/UX Design

Capri Temporary Housing offers affordable short-term accommodations in Texas, Arizona and California with a touch of Italian hospitality. It's ideal for anyone who works away from home, is between two homes, or simply needs a place to stay.

We were tasked with developing an efficient and easy-to-use dashboard interface for Capri Housing employees. The main objective was to centralize and optimize the management of customer and corporate records, ticket tracking and form handling, essential for the company's daily operations.

The Capri Housing team faced a fragmented operational workflow, relying on decentralized systems and spreadsheets to manage customers, tickets and contracts. This manual process generated inefficiency, risk of errors and hindered business growth. The challenge was twofold: create a powerful internal tool for employees while at the same time offering a fluid and modern digital experience for customers.

We adopted a user-centered design methodology to ensure the solution met the real needs of both the internal team and end customers.

1. Architecture and Wireframing (The Foundation) The initial challenge was to create, from scratch, the information architecture and dashboard workflow. We start with initial sketches and progress to detailed wireframes. This step was fundamental to structuring the entire system, mapping employees' journeys and ensuring that essential functionalities, such as registration management and call tracking, were organized in a logical and intuitive way.

2. Multi-Device Experience Design (The Strategy) We identified two distinct usage contexts that required different mobile solutions:

For Customers: The priority was a fluid and easily accessible mobile experience. To this end, the interface of a dedicated (native) application was designed, focused on essential features for the guest.
For Employees: The need was for flexibility to access the platform from anywhere. The solution was to create a responsive mobile web version of the main dashboard, ensuring that management could be carried out optimally on any device.

3. Interface Design (UI) and Iterative Refinement With the wireframes validated, we move towards high-fidelity design of the interface. Applying Capri's visual identity, we created a clean and functional design for the desktop dashboard. During this process, we made numerous adjustments and improvements to appearance and interaction, refining the components to ensure the best possible usability.

The project resulted in a cohesive digital ecosystem, delivering three interconnected design products:

The Dashboard Desktop: The central hub for Capri's operations, enabling employees to manage the entire business with efficiency and clarity.
The Mobile Web Version for the Team: Ensures employees have flexible and optimized access to the platform anywhere.
The Mobile App for Guests: Provides guests with a modern and convenient self-service experience.

Together, these solutions have optimized internal operations, reduced manual workload and raised the standard of service offered by Capri Housing.
